With a 5-0 victory over the Honesdale Lady Hornets the Lady Wildcats put themselves in the postseason while improving their record to 7-6. Sam Atcavage, Allison Mattern, and Sam Pritzlaff each won their singles match. The team of Ty Alpaugh and Journey Sosa along with the team of Maddy Godfrey and Abby Burke earned doubles victories in the win.

The team of Maddy Godfrey and Abby Burke along with the team of Ty Alpaugh and Journey Sosa picked up doubles victories in a 5-0 win over the West Scranton Lady Invaders. Sam Pritzlaff, Allison Mattern, and Sam Atcavage earned singles victories to contribute in the win. The Lady Wildcats improved their record to 6-4.

Allison Mattern, Sam Pritzlaff, and Sam Atcavage earned singles victories in a 5-0 win over the Dunmore Lady Bucks. The teams of Ty Alpaugh and Journey Sosa as well as Maddy Godfrey and Abby Burke had doubles victories in the win.

Girls Tennis picked up 3 wins this week as they make a push to the playoffs.
On Monday the Lady Wildcats defeated Mid Valley 3-2. Samantha Pritzlaff and Samantha Atcavage picked up singles victories. The team of Maddy Godfrey and Abby Burke picked up a doubles victory to aid the cause.
On Tuesday the Lady Wildcats defeated Valley View 3-2 for their first win over the Lady Cougars ever. Samantha Pritzlaff and Samantha Atcavage won their singles matches while the team of Ty Alpaugh and Journey Sosa won their doubles match.
On Thursday Western Wayne defeated Delaware Valley 5-0. Allison Mattern, Samantha Pritzlaff, and Samantha Atcavage won singles matches. The teams of Ty Alpaugh and Journey Sosa as well as Maddy Godfrey and Abby Burke contributed to the win with doubles victories.
The Lady Wildcats record stands at 4 wins with 4 losses.

Ty Alpaugh and Journey Sosa as well as Sam Atcavage and Abby Burke picked up doubles victories while Sam Pritzlaff picked up a singles victory in a win over the Riverside Lady Vikings 3-2.

The 2017 Western Wayne Girls Varsity Tennis Team will open its season on Tuesday 8/22 at Scranton Prep. The match is slated to begin at 4:00 pm.
